Carmela is an architect and artist. From a young age, she felt a deep fascination for cities and art, a passion she inherited from her family, having grown up surrounded by architects. She studied architecture in Madrid and, after living abroad for several years, began to imagine and draw cities that existed only in her mind.
With ART AND MAP, Carmela creates original maps. Imaginary cities made up of streets, squares, parks and coastlines from different places, all interwoven. “Madhattan, Sanselona, Maracas...”. Maps that tell unique stories.
In this exhibition, “Your Story in Maps”, Carmela hopes to convey her love of geography – that beauty of the world where almost every corner could be framed.
And you, do you let your imagination run wild and dream of unique places?
