LATERAL appeared on the Madrid culinary scene in 1997 with the opening of its first location. Since then, it has established itself as a different concept by combining on their menu a variety of individual pinchos (tapas on a stick) with other shareable foods, in which more traditional recipes coexist with other more modern creations, always while using top quality products.

LATERAL is also committed to a lifestyle in which details of design, interior design and fashion coexist with values such as unconditional support for the arts, the environment and solidarity.

The experience of the first location opened in Madrid in 1997 marked the beginning and served as a point of reference for the subsequent opening of six more locations throughout the capital, each one with a different personality. Lateral finally jumped geographical barriers with the recent opening of a location this last November of 2014 in the neighborhood of L’Eixample in Barcelona.

LATERAL currently relies on a workforce of over three hundred people who collaborate every day to create a different experience for each visit to every location.
